Archived Announcements
- Nov 06: Now its official. There will be a class on Dec 13
(originally the "Reading Day"). Test 2 is still on Dec 20, as
originally planned.
- Nov 01: Please install Prolog on your system and get familiar
with it. There will be homework due on Nov 15, and you don't want to
wait until then.
- Oct 31: CLASS CANCELED TOMORROW! We will slide our schedule one
week back but keep things unchanged otherwise. Although I haven't heard
anything official yet, I'm expecting that CUNY will add a class on Dec.
13 (if they do things like they have in the past). You can submit HW7
in class next week if you want.
- Oct 31: I'm not sure yet if we will have class tomorrow. I'll
post here probably tonight (definitely before 11AM tomorrow).
- Oct 12: Don't forget, the midterm is this Thursday 3-4 PM. We
will have normal class from 2-250. Last year's midterm is on
blackboard.
- Oct 09: Recitation this week at 1:00-1:50 to go over axiomatic
semantics
- Oct 03: Recitation tomorrow at 1:00-1:50
- Sep 28: My Hunter office hours on Monday Oct 01 are
cancelled.
- Sep 28: Please install Hugs on your computer before next class,
since you will need it for the next homework.
- Sep 26: We will have recitation at 1:00-1:50 in the Algorithms
classroom tomorrow (Sep 27). The recitation is optional; however, you
probably want to attend if you aren't sure of your homework answers. We
will start class at 2 in the usual room (sorry, I know that doesn't
leave much time to pick up lunch, but I don't see an alternative
either, though I am open to ideas).
- Aug 31: Please send me email with your email address. I'd like to
create an email list for the course for last minute announcements just
in case (its unlikely to be used). You wont be added to this list
unless I get this email (whether or not I already know your email).
- Aug 15: Welcome to the course! The
schedule here is just what we did last year, and purely for
informational purposes - I will update it later this summer.
- Aug 15: Please purchase the textbook before the semester starts,
since we
will be using the text mainly in first few weeks of the semester. I was
told last year that the Kindle edition of the text left out the
formulas and math, making it essentially useless. I have no idea if its
fixed now.
